Arkansas VINE Covers Carroll County
Arkansas VINE is the statewide custody-notification program. The official Arkansas VINE System page comes from the Arkansas Crime Information Center. State materials list coverage for county jails, the Division of Correction, and probation and parole. Coverage also includes post-release supervision and some court data. Carroll County has no separate SAVIN site. Every search starts statewide, online or by phone at 1-800-510-0415.
VINE and VINELink do two linked jobs. VINE is the notification program. VINELink is its public search and sign-up front end. The service runs around the clock, with English and Spanish support and a live operator. It follows one record at a time rather than every Carroll County booking. For public booking cards and photographs, the Sheriff's Office roster stays the official county source.
Open the public VINELink application, pick Arkansas, and the custody search begins.
This screen is the Arkansas VINE entry point. It opens the service itself. No custody result or booking photo appears on it. Those come only after a search.
Check a Carroll County Arrest
Begin with the sharpest identifier you have. Names alone can pull up lookalikes, alternate spellings, or records from elsewhere in Arkansas. A booking or offender number narrows things down fast. Depending on the record type, the system may also accept case, ADC, or probation and parole identifiers.
- Open VINELink and choose Arkansas as the state or territory.
- Select the kind of search offered for the record, then enter a full name or a known identifier.
- Review all close matches. Compare date of birth, record number, custody agency, and location rather than relying on one field.
- Open the matching record and read the current custody status and the source's last update information.
- If the record is eligible, use its notification option to register for the event types that matter.
A blank result does not mean no arrest happened. The record may lag, sit under a different spelling, or fall outside VINE's coverage. Released people drop off too. Some arrests end in a citation, with no county booking at all. Others move to a different jurisdiction. For the booking card itself, turn to the county-wide Carroll County recent-arrest sources and match the sheriff's booking number to the VINE result when both list one.
Keep your alert registration, contact address, and PIN private. Those details belong to the subscriber alone.
Carroll County VINELink Result Fields
What you see depends on the agency and record type behind the entry. County-jail results rarely match an ADC, supervision, or court record field for field. Treat status and location as a snapshot. It is not a full criminal history.
| Possible field | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Name and date of birth | Identity fields used to separate close matches; compare both where they are shown. |
| Offender or booking number | A record identifier that can make later searches and agency confirmation more exact. |
| Custody status | The status most recently supplied to VINE, such as a custody or release state available for that source. |
| Location | The reported holding agency or facility, which may change after transfer. |
| Scheduled release or parole data | Future information when the record provides it; schedules can change and should be confirmed. |
| Court or supervision event | An event type, date, time, place, or supervision status when included by the contributing system. |
A VINE status stops short of the full picture. No incident report comes with it. No probable-cause statement, booking-photo archive, or final court outcome either; "disposition" just means the court's recorded result. County booking questions go to the sheriff's office. Filed cases sit with Search ARCourts and the clerk. An ADC result points to state custody, not the Carroll County jail.
Scheduled events deserve caution, since a projected release or parole date can shift with a court order, recalculation, transfer, or agency update. Court data may list an event's type, date, time, or location. It never replaces the clerk's docket. When a result shows only a broad status, call the named agency instead of guessing why the person is held or freed.
Note: Match more than one identifier before treating a VINELink record as the right person.
Register Carroll County Custody Alerts
Alerts can arrive by phone, email, text, or TTY, depending on the record and the current interface. Event choices may span release, bond, court-order release, transfer, escape, death, furlough, parole, pardon, a hearing, or a case disposition. Not every Carroll County record offers every event. Pick only what the system shows.
- Open the matching custody record and choose the registration or notification control.
- Select the available event types and a delivery method, such as telephone, text, email, or TTY.
- For telephone registration, enter a phone number with area code and create the required four-digit PIN.
- For email registration, supply the requested address; state guidance says an email registration does not require a PIN.
- Complete the confirmation steps and keep the PIN private so telephone notices can be acknowledged safely.
State materials describe repeat calling for some telephone notices. Calls go out roughly every 30 minutes during an initial period. The repeats continue until the notice is confirmed. Non-emergency calls may be treated differently. Those procedures can change, so the live registration screen controls. Keep contact details current. Never lean on one delivery method for an urgent safety plan.
The VINELink registration interface shows the current account and notification route.
This screen is where alert sign-up begins. Private details stay hidden. A phone, email, PIN, and chosen person are entered later, never displayed here.
Carroll County VINE Transfer Timing
Arkansas moves county jail data into VINE every 15 minutes. That rhythm never stops, day or night. But a transfer schedule is not a publishing promise. Before a Carroll County arrest reaches VINE as a usable record, the booking desk has to finish its own work. Entry, correction, and intake tasks all take time first.
Other systems run on slower clocks. Arkansas DOC data flows hourly, per state descriptions. Court data arrives daily. Probation and parole data does too. So one screen can lead or trail another by hours, and two systems can honestly disagree about the same person.
That lag is why the source name matters. Check the update time as well. Custody level tells you just as much. Two screens that look inconsistent may simply be describing different moments in the same booking.
Carroll County has no separate local VINE portal to search first. Start with Arkansas VINELink instead. Then confirm anything urgent with the Carroll County Detention Center, especially for a fresh booking or a fast release.
Write down when you checked a status and which agency supplied it. A screenshot goes stale the moment custody changes, and an old status shared without its date can badly mislead. For answers that count, the live VINELink record and a direct agency response beat any saved image, search snippet, or secondhand report.
Confirm Carroll County Custody Changes
VINELink sends notifications, but it does not guarantee your safety or instant notice. A transfer can slow a message. So can a phone outage, an email filter, an account setting, or thin source data. When a release or transfer raises a safety worry, call the jail or law enforcement directly. Follow your safety plan. Do not sit waiting on an automated message.
The system is not a federal locator. Federal prison custody belongs to the Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration custody belongs to the ICE Online Detainee Locator. A U.S. Marshals transfer may need a direct call to that agency. None of those tools covers a fresh booking in Berryville.
For a new local arrest, put VINELink beside the sheriff's current roster and the short-window source described in the Daily Arrest Report. Remember that the 48 Hour Release view sorts by release time. It is not a list of everyone arrested that day.
During administrative hours, call the Carroll County Sheriff's Office at 870-423-2901 and press option 1 for the jail. The detention center page carries the jail's official details too. A separate non-emergency dispatch line, 870-423-7373, handles other calls. Dial 911 for any emergency. The statewide VINE line, 1-800-510-0415, can help with service questions, but it cannot replace the jail's local confirmation of who is in custody right now.
Custody Status Is Not Guilt
A match only repeats what the system reported. The report covers custody facts, supervision details, or a court event. Charges can change after an arrest. A release can happen while a case stays open. Continued custody predicts nothing about the final outcome in court either.
If identity or status looks uncertain, ask the agency. That agency created the record, so it can verify it. A name match, a photo, or an automated alert alone is not enough. The sheriff's official FAQ covers local phone routing and record limits.
